Central Indiana gets its share of straight-line winds, derechos, ice storms and the occasional tornado warning, and the morning after there is a tree on the fence, a limb through the shed roof, or half a silver maple lying across the driveway. We clear storm damage as a priority: getting the tree off the house, the car or the road first, cutting up and hauling what fell, taking down what is left hanging so it does not come down later, and clearing the debris off the lawn and beds.
